Overview:
You'll want to know that you will be able to program the robot for the application you have in mind.
Most users of ST robots have never programmed a robot or a computer so we offer all the help you need in terms of documentation and support. ST Robotics software is free of charge, license free and all future upgrades are free. Software support is free and unlimited for the first users.
ST can arrange to do the programming for you but it is far better for you to learn the system yourself. It puts it under your control and you can revise it as you revise your process. ST ensures this with good manuals, 24/7 phone and email help. Take a look at the getting started pdf. There is also an acclaimed tutorial.
For a concise insight into programming ST robots please read the short overview below. Or you can visit our in depth look at Roboforth and RobWin and associated utilties.
Once you have the robot set up and switched on you can immediately communicate with the robot through a 'command console'. You can type a command such as
TELL ELBOW 9000 MOVE
and the elbow axis moves immediately.
There are many more commands of this nature which enable you to immediately operate any axis or the gripper or input/output and thus build up confidence that what you are programming is going to work.
